🧠 How the Favorite Pokémon Picker Works

01

Tournament Elimination

Each batch shows you a group of Pokémon. Pick any you prefer over the others and press Pick. The ones you didn't pick are eliminated — but only by the ones you chose.

02

Smart Rescuing

When your favorite is found, all Pokémon it beat come back for second place. This ensures your true #2 can't be knocked out unfairly by your #1 in an early round.

03

Ranked Results

Your Found Favorites list builds up in ranked order. Continue as long as you like — in theory you could rank all 1,025 Pokémon from most to least favorite!

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

This picker includes all 1,025 Pokémon from Generation 1 (Kanto) through Generation 9 (Paldea). You can filter to a specific generation or type to make the picking process faster if you want to focus on a subset.
Clicking Pick confirms your selected Pokémon and eliminates the others in the batch. Clicking Pass is equivalent to selecting all Pokémon — none are eliminated, they all move to the next round. Passing doesn't progress the picker, so make sure to actually eliminate some.
Yes — the picker saves your state to localStorage after every pick. If you close the tab and come back, your progress will be restored automatically. Use the Export button to save your favorites list as a text file.
Enabling shiny mode swaps all Pokémon sprites to their shiny versions. This is purely cosmetic — the same Pokémon appear, just with their alternate colour palette. Great for shiny hunters who want to see shiny sprites while picking!
Yes! Use the Type Filter in the options panel to limit the picker to a single type (Fire, Water, etc.). This is especially useful for challenges like "pick your favorite Pokémon of each type" — just run the picker once per type.
